Tech & Innovation - Building a better world

The Funding Network is excited to announce our partnership with GridAKL for an event during NZ Tech Week 2018 on the evening of the 22nd May at GridAKL in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter.

Applications are now CLOSED. Thank you for all the amazing Expressions of Interest.

The theme is Tech & Innovation - Building a better world.

The three projects are:

We make happy tackles the issue of deprivation and need amongst the 40,000 homeless and those living in poverty through a mobile and web app called APPINESS that seamlessly and directly connects “I need” people with “I can help” people.

The Kindness Institute supports young people to improve their own mental health, stress management and leadership capabilities through mindfulness-based programmes. It's powerful stuff: their ATAWHAI program has 100% of rangatahi (youth) reporting a reduction in stress.

Everybody Eats is a not for profit, pay as you feel dining concept. They rescue food and turn it into restaurant quality meals, that customers pay whatever they like for. Everybody is welcome meaning most customers are homeless, elderly or suffer mental health issues.

Selection Guidelines are HERE

Application Process info and Application Form HERE

To make it painless to apply we have a two phase application process. The first step is to submit an Expression of Interest. This can be written or in video form. (See our Application Process info and application form for details.) GOOD LUCK!

TFN's first private corporate event with ASB

Three innovative grass roots charities pitched to a spirited audience of generous donors at The Funding Network’s event last August, raising $22,750 for their causes.

The charities, InsideOUT, Urutapu and the Wellbeing Trust inspired the audience to support their causes with moving six-minute presentations. A lively pledging session followed where funds were raised for each charity.

The theme for the event was Diversity & Inclusion, and was held in partnership with ASB at their Cube event space in Auckland’s North Wharf.  A big thank you to everyone involved in making the event a great success.
