The Funding Network and GridAKL are pleased to inform you that the generous people at our live crowdfunding event during NZ Tech Week 2018 on 22nd May raised $28,000 for our three amazing social change projects!

The three projects were:
We make happy tackles the issue of deprivation and need amongst the 40,000 homeless and those living in poverty through a mobile and web app called APPINESS that seamlessly and directly connects “I need” people with “I can help” people.
The Kindness Institute supports young people to improve their own mental health, stress management and leadership capabilities through mindfulness-based programmes. It's powerful stuff: their ATAWHAI program has 100% of rangatahi (youth) reporting a reduction in stress.
Everybody Eats is a not for profit, pay as you feel dining concept. They rescue food and turn it into restaurant quality meals, that customers pay whatever they like for. Everybody is welcome meaning most customers are homeless, elderly or suffer mental health issues.
